The author analyses the large time asymptotic behavior of nonlocal equations of the type \[ \partial_t u = \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} J(x,y)\, u(y,t)\, dy - \chi_0\, u(x,t), \quad(x,t)\in \mathbb{R}^n\times(0,\infty), \] for given functions \(J\) (including non-symmetric ones) and constants \(\chi_0>0\). The conditions assumed on \(J\) allow this work to be seen as a generalization of \textit{E. Chasseigne} et al. [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 86, No. 3, 271--291 (2006; Zbl 1126.35081)]. Moreover, the author considers a kernel which guarantees that the solution of the above equation has the decay rate given by a regular varying function with negative index \[ \|u(t)\|_{L^p}\lesssim (tL(t))^{-\beta}\quad\text{as}\quad t\to\infty \] (with \(\beta>0\) and a slowly varying \(L:(0,\infty)\to(0,\infty)\)).
