The authors consider the minimization problem for quantum entropies under local constraints. Their focus is on the von Neumann entropy \[ S(\rho)=\mathrm{Tr}(s(\rho)),\ \ s(x)=x\log x-x, \] for a density operator \(\rho\). This article provides ``a first result in a one dimensional setting, and show[s] that \(S\) admits a unique minimizer satisfying the [local] constraints.''
