Let \(E\subset \mathbb{R}\) be a non-polar compact set, i.e., there exists the Green function \(g_\Omega (z)\) of \(\Omega :=\mathbb{\overline{\mathbb{C}}}\backslash E \) with pole at infinity. Denote by \(\mathbb{P}_n,\ n=0,1,\ldots \) the set of all (real) polynomials of degree at most \(n\). Bernstein's well-known classical inequality gives an estimate of the modulus of the derivative of \(p_n\in\mathbb{P}_n \) at an interior point \(x_0\) of the interval \(E=[-1,1]\) by the supremum norm of \(p_n\) on \(E\). Bernstein's inequality is generalized for the case when a set \(E\) and a point \(x_0\in E\) satisfy the condition \(\limsup _{\Omega \ni z\rightarrow x_0}\frac{g_\Omega (z)}{|z-x_0|}<\infty \).
