Green's functions of recurrence relations with reflection (Q2315059)

The authors develop a theory of linear recurrence equations and systems with reflection and constant coefficients. Their results provide explicit solutions and Green functions associated to different problems under general linear boundary conditions and establish some interesting relations between the algebra of recurrence operators and the algebra of differential operators. Furthermore, the authors provide some ideas for possible generalizations: non-constant coefficients, general involutions and partial difference equations.
