In this paper, the author considers hyperbolic structures on the cone manifold obtained from the torus with a single cone point times open interval. An explicit construction of such a cone manifold with a particular holonomy presentation, called thin, is given. Also, for such a cone manifold, a generalization of the convex core of a quasi-Fuchsian punctured torus group is constructed. Under such constructions, two natural parametrizations of such cone manifolds are obtained. Precisely, one parametrization is for the space of thin good labeled representations for such cone manifolds by the subset of \(\mathbb{H}^2 \times \mathbb{H}^2\) consisting of the thin labels. The other is for the space of all cone hyperbolic structures which induce good labeled representations as holonomy representations by the space of the pairs of rectangular cone hyperbolic structures on the boundary of the convex cores for such cone manifolds. The latter (Theorem 1.2) gives a partial affirmative answer to Question 7.1 raised by \textit{C. Lecuire} and \textit{J.-M. Schlenker} [Geom. Topol. 18, No. 4, 2309--2373 (2014; Zbl 1334.57015)]. Actually, the subset considered in this paper for such a hyperbolic cone manifold is coincide with the convex core for a quasi-Fuchsian manifold with particles in their sense.
