The article under review is devoted to the study of real loci of algebraic hypersurfaces of \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) defined by quartic polynomials which are invariant under the action of the coxeter group \(CB_{n}\), the symmetry group of the hyper-cube. The author describes the connected components of those hypersurfaces and the possible nesting configurations of compact components. It is established in particular that the maximal number of connected components of these \(n\)-ary \(CB_{n}\)-quartics is \(2^{n}+1\) and that they have at most \(2^{n}\) compact components. Furthermore, there are at most two nested compact components. The approach is based on the study of the connection between combinatorial aspects of a construction of \(CB_{n}\)-invariant polynomials using partitions of integers and the geometrical properties of the corresponding algebraic varieties.
