The theory of continuous \(p\)-adic-valued functions on \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) is based on the duality of their smoothness properties and the decay properties of the coefficients of their expansions in the Mahler and van der Put bases. In the paper under review, the author provides a measure-preservation criterion in terms of Mahler's expansion for 1-Lipschitz functions on \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) that are uniformly differentiable \(\mod p\) on \(\mathbb{Z}_p\). The second result deals with the existence of a root of \(p^\alpha\)-Lipschitz functions on \(\mathbb{Z}_p\), also in terms of Mahler's coefficients. The author also gives an informative survey of related results dealing with both kinds of expansions. For earlier results, see, in particular, [\textit{V. Anashin} and \textit{A. Khrennikov}, Applied algebraic dynamics. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter (2009; Zbl 1184.37002)], [\textit{E. Yurova Axelsson} and \textit{A. Khrennikov}, J.
