One of the significant properties of the category \(Mod R\) for a commutative Noetherian ring \(R,\) among all locally noetherian Grothendieck categories, is that it has enough compressible objects. An object \(H\) in a Grothendieck category \(\mathcal{G}\) is called compressible if each nonzero subject of \(H\) contains a subject isomorphic to \(H.\) We say that a Grothendieck category \(\mathcal{G}\) has enough compressible objects if every nonzero object in \(\mathcal{G}\) contains a compressible subject. The category of modules over a right Noetherian ring is a locally Noetherian ring is a locally Noetherian Grothendieck category, but it does not necessarily have enough compressible objects. In this paper the author introduces a new method to construct a Grothendieck category from a given colored quiver. This is a variant of the construction used to prove that every partially ordered set arises as the atom spectrum of a Grothendieck category, where the atom spectrum is a generalisation of the set of prime ideals of a commutative ring. The author proves that for every finite partially ordered set, there exists a locally Noetherian Grothendieck category such that every nonzero object contains a compressible subject and its atom spectrum is isomorphic to the given partially ordered set.
