Summary: We consider the exponential stabilization for Timoshenko beam with distributed delay in the boundary control. Suppose that the controller outputs are of the form \(\alpha_1 u_1(t) + \beta_1 u_1(t - \tau) + \int_{- \tau}^0 g_1(\eta) u_1(t + \eta) d \eta\) and \(\alpha_2 u_2(t) + \beta_2 u_2(t - \tau) + \int_{- \tau}^0 g_2(\eta) u_2(t + \eta) d \eta\); where \(u_1(t)\) and \(u_2(t)\) are the inputs of boundary controllers. In the past, most stabilization results for wave equations and Euler-Bernoulli beam with delay are required \(\alpha_i > \beta_i > 0\), \(i = 1,2\). In the present paper, we will give the exponential stabilization about Timoshenko beam with distributed delay and demand to satisfy the lesser conditions for \(\alpha_i\), \(\beta_i\), \(i = 1,2\).
