For a metric continuum $X$ let $2^{X}$ denote the hyperspace of all nonempty closed subsets of $X$ and $F_{1}(X)$ -- the hyperspace of all one-point subsets of $X$. Given a continuum $X$, $A \in 2^{X}$ and $x \in X \setminus A$, the set $A$ \textit{does not block} the point $x$ provided that the union of all subcontinua of $X$ containing $x$ and contained in $X \setminus A$ is a dense subset of $X$. The collection of all elements $B$ of $2^{X}$ such that $B$ does not block each element of $X \setminus B$ is denoted by $\mathcal{NB}(F_{1}(X))$ . In [Topology Appl. 159, No. 17, 3614--3618 (2012; Zbl 1256.54033)], \textit{R. Escobedo} et al. proved that if $X$ is locally connected, then $\mathcal{NB}(F_{1}(X))$ is a continuum if and only if $X$ is a simple closed curve, and asked for which nonlocally connected continua $X$ the set $\mathcal{NB}(F_{1}(X))$ is a continuum. In the paper under review, the authors prove that there exists an uncountable uncomparable family of continua such that each of them is an example for this question (\textit{uncomparable family} means that there is no onto mapping between two different members of the family).
