The author studies a version of Leith model by Lie symmetry analysis. A generalized Leith model for turbulent systems with a finite-capacity spectrum was introduced by \textit{S. Thalabard} et al. [J. Phys. A, Math. Theor. 48, No. 28, Article ID 285501, 21 p. (2015; Zbl 1317.76036)] and existence of the transient anomalous scaling and the reflection-wave scenario were given in this work. A viscosity term was implemented into Leith model in [\textit{V. N. Grebenev} et al., J. Phys. A, Math. Theor. 49, No. 36, Article ID 365501, 26 p. (2016; Zbl 1349.76091)] wherein full classification of the stationary solutions of this model was obtained. The group classification problem of the model under consideration is given by the algorithm worked out by \textit{L. V. Ovsyannikov} [Group analysis of differential equations. (Gruppovoj analiz differentsial'nykh uravnenij) (Russian). Moscow: ``Nauka'' (1978; Zbl 0484.58001)]. With this, all invariant submodels were derived.
