Regular hexagonal three-phase checkerboard (Q2320062)

This is a brilliant paper from a series of works by \textit{R. V. Craster} and \textit{Yu. V. Obnosov} [Q. J. Mech. Appl. Math. 59, No. 1, 1--27 (2006; Zbl 1188.78007)], devoted to the exact solution of the \(\mathbb R\)-linear problem for checkerboard-type structures. In this paper, the author solves the local problem for symmetric locations of sources and sinks. The method is based on the simplification of the problem by use of a special conformal mapping constructed in terms of elliptic functions.
