This paper investigates the best \((\alpha, \beta)\)-approximations of the classes \(K \ast F\) by generalized splines \(K\ast S^1_{2n,r}(h),\) \(h\in (0,\frac{2\pi}{n})\), \(r\in \mathbb{N}\), which are the spaces of \(2\pi\)-periodic polynomial splines of order \(r\) with defect \(1\) and the nodes \(2j\pi/n\) and \(2j\pi/n+h\), \(j \in \mathbb{Z}\). Exact values of the best \((\alpha, \beta)\)-approximations are given.
