The authors show that for every even integer \(k\ge 4\), there exists a positive \(c\) such that the number of triple systems with vertex set \([n]\) containing no loose \(k\)-cycle is at most \(2^{cn^2}\). Their proof uses tools from extremal hypergraph theory.
