The authors study the convergence of numerical schemes for the solution of the nonlinear transport equation \(\partial_t u(t,x) + \mathrm{div}_x (a(t,x)f(u(t,x))) = 0\), where the velocity field \(a\) has only Sobolev regularity with respect to spatial variables \(x\in\mathbb{R}^d\). For that, they establish quantitative regularity estimates for the approximate solutions based on novel commutator estimates.
