The graph inverse semigroup \(G(E)\) over a graph \(E\) is a union of \(J^0_X\) classes over all strongly connected components \(X\) of the graph. In its turn, the components \(J^0_X\) of the union are isomorphic to the Brandt extensions of the graph inverse semigroup over the subgraph induced on a strongly connected component. In case graphs are acyclic, this result simplifies to the union of the semigroup of matrix units over all vertices of the graph.
