The paper under review studies genus-zero mirror symmetry for root stacks over smooth projective varieties. Let \(X\) be a smooth projective variety and \(D\) be a smooth nef divisor and \(X_{D,r}\) be the corresponding \(r\)-th root stack. The first main result of the paper writes \(I_{X_{D,r}}(Q,t,z)\) and \(I^S_{X_{D,r}}(Q,x,t,z)\), respectively the \(I\)-function and the S-extended \(I\)-function of \(X_{D,r}\), in terms of the \(J\)-function of its coarse moduli space \(X\) and showing that they lie in Givental's Lagrangian cone of \(X_{D,r}\). Moreover, the genus 0 Gromov-Witten invariants of \(X_{D,r}\) are expressed in terms of the non-equivariant limit of certain twisted genus 0 Gromov-Witten invariants of \(\mathfrak X_r\), the gerbe of \(r\)-th roots of \(\mathcal O(D)\) over \(X\). The paper under review also obtains a Givental style mirror theorem for relative Gromov-Witten invariants of \((X,D)\) by showing that \(I_{(X,D)}(Q,t,z)\) and \(I^S_{(X,D)}(Q,x,t,z)\), the \(I\)-function and the \(S\)-extended \(I\)-function for relative Gromov-Witten invariants lie in Givental's Lagrangian cone for relative invariants. In case that \(-K_X-D\) is nef, the paper obtains the \(I\)-function for the relative Gromov-Witten invariants of \((X, D)\) with the maximal tangency condition along the divisor \(D\) by passing the \(I\)-function for root stacks to the limit. As a result, the relation between the restricted \(J\)-function of \((X, D)\) and \(I_{(X,D)}(Q,t,z)\) without using Givental's formalism for relative invariants is proven.
