Unless stated otherwise, the authors work without special assumptions on separation. A paratopological group \(G\) is called weakly \(\omega\)-admissible if for each open neighborhood \(U\) of the identity, there exists a subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) such that \(H\subseteq \overline{U}\) and the quotient space \(G/H\) is submetrizable. The class of weakly \(\omega\)-admissible paratopological groups contains the classes of all totally \(\omega\)-narrow, all precompact, all locally feebly compact, all weakly Lindelöf and saturated, and all \(\omega\)-admissible paratopological groups. The main results of the paper read: (1) Every bounded set in a weakly \(\omega\)-admissible paratopological group is \(p\)-bounded for each free ultrafilter \(p\) on \(\omega.\) (2) Every \(C\)-compact set in a weakly \(\omega\)-admissible paratopological group is strongly \(r\)-pseudocompact. The investigations complement and extend results of Sanchis, Sánchez and Tkachenko.
