An algebra \(A\) over a field \(K\) is called: (i) invertible, if \(A\) has a \(K\)-basis consisting of invertible elements; (ii) invertible-2 (shortly \(\mathrm{I}\)2) if it has a \(K\)-basis \(\mathcal{B}\) consisting of invertible elements, such that \(\mathcal{B}^{-1}\) is also a \(K\)-basis. These notions were introduced by \textit{S. López-Permouth} et al. [Contemp. Math. 499, 219--228 (2009; Zbl 1191.16037); Isr. J. Math. 208, 461--482 (2015; Zbl 1355.16026)]. In the paper under review, the authors continue the investigation of these algebras. The main results of the paper are: (1) Any field is an \(\mathrm{I}\)2 algebra over any subfield; (2) If \(A\) is a \(K\)-algebra such that \(K[x]\subseteq A\subseteq K(x)\), then \(A\) has a \(K\)-basis \(\mathcal{B}\) such that \(1\in \mathcal{B}\) and \(\mathcal{B}=\mathcal{B}^{-1}\). In particular, \(A\) is an \(\mathrm{I}\)2 algebra; (3) If \(A\) is a finitely generated commutative invertible algebra, then its localization at a certain element is \(\mathrm{I}\)2; (4) A semilocal ring \(A\) is invertible if and only if \(\mathbb{F}_2\times \mathbb{F}_2\) is not a quotient of \(A\); (5) If \(A\) is a semiprimary algebra over a field \(K\neq \mathbb{F}_2\), such that the endomorphism ring of any simple \(A\)-module is finite over its center, then \(A\) is an \(\mathrm{I}\)2 algebra.
