Over a commutative local ring, semidualizing modules provide a common generalization of a dualizing (canonical) module and a free module of rank one. These modules introduced by \textit{H.-B. Foxby} [Math. Scand. 31, 267--284 (1973; Zbl 0272.13009)]. In the paper under review the authors continue their study of ladder determinantal rings over a field \(k\) from the perspective of semidualizing modules. In their previous paper [\textit{S. Sather-Wagstaff} et al., Ill. J. Math. 63, No. 1, 165--191 (2019; Zbl 1427.13014)], for a ladder of variables \(Y\), they show that the ring \(k[Y]/I_t(Y)\) has only trivial semidualizing modules up to isomorphism, provided \(Y\) is a one-sided ladder, or \(Y\) is a two-sided ladder with \(t=2\) and no coincidental inside corners. In this paper, the authors show that the associated ladder determinantal ring \(k[Y ]/I_2(Y )\) admits exactly \(2n\) non-isomorphic semidualizing modules where \(n\) is determined from the combinatorics of the ladder \(Y\): the number \(n\) is essentially the number of non-Gorenstein factors in a certain decomposition of \(Y\) identify all semidualizing modules over certain classes of ladder determinantal rings over a field \(k\).
