A not necessarily associative algebra $A$ is said to be multiplicatively prime (m.p.) if both $A$ and its multiplication algebra $M(A)$ are prime. It is known that prime associative algebras and prime nondegenerate Jordan algebras are m.p. In this paper the authors prove that strongly prime noncommutative Jordan algebras also enjoy this property. The proof relies on Skosyrskiĭ's prime theorem for noncommutative Jordan algebras, which allows the authors to proceed on a case-by-case analysis. While two of the cases in the list of prime noncommutative Jordan algebras reduce to known results (when the noncommutative Jordan algebra is actually commutative or a central order in a simple flexible quadratic algebra), in the two remaining cases the proof requires hard work.
