The phase problem appears in various applications. It consists of function recovering from the magnitudes of its Fourier transform. This paper focuses on the abstract phase retrieval problem. The main result here is the connections established among the generalized phase retrieval, low-rank matrix recovery and nonsingular bilinear form. Lower bounds on the minimal measurement number required for generalized phase retrieval are derived.
