The author presents necessary and sufficient conditions providing the existence of an angular derivative at infinity for domains convex in the positive direction. Denote \(\mathbb H=\{z\in\mathbb C:\text{Im}\,z>0\}\). Suppose that \(D\) is a simply connected domain, \(\infty\in\partial D\), and for any \(\alpha\in(0,\pi/2)\), there exists \(r>0\) such that \[\Gamma_{\alpha,r}=\{z\in\mathbb C:|z|>r,\alpha<\arg z<\pi-\alpha\}\subset D.\] If \(\phi\) is a conformal map on \(D\), then \(\phi\) has angular derivative \(\sigma\) at \(\infty\) if \[\lim_{\Gamma_{\alpha,r}\ni z\to\infty}\phi(z)=\infty\;\;\text{and}\;\;\lim_{\Gamma_{\alpha,r}\ni z\to\infty}\frac{z}{\phi(z)}=\sigma\] for all \(\alpha\in(0,\pi/2)\) and some \(r>0\). Such a domain \(D\) has an angular derivative at \(\infty\) if there is a conformal map \(\phi:D\to\mathbb H\) possessing a finite and nonzero angular derivative at \(\infty\). A domain \(D\subset\mathbb C\) is called convex in the positive direction if, for any \(z\in D\), the half-line \(\{z+t:t\geq0\}\) is contained in \(D\). Let \(R\) and \(D\) be simply connected domains that are convex in the positive direction. Suppose that the horizontal strip \(\mathbb S\), symmetric with respect to \(\mathbb R\), of width \(\pi\), is the smallest horizontal strip containing \(R\). There is a minimal \(a\in\mathbb R\cup\{-\infty\}\) such that \((a,\infty)\subset R\). For \(x>a\), let \(F_x\) be the component of \(R\cap\{z:\text{Re}\,z=x\}\) containing \(x\). Set \(\theta(x)=\text{length}(F_x)\). Similarly, assume that \(\mathbb H\) is the smallest horizontal plane containing \(D\). For \(r>0\) large enough, denote \(r\eta(r)\) the length of the component of \(D\cap\{z:|z|=r\}\) containing \(ir\). The author proves the following theorems. Theorem 1: The domain \(R\) has an angular derivative at \(+\infty\) if and only if \[\int_s^t\left(\frac{1}{\theta(x)}-\frac{1}{\pi}\right)dx\to0\] as \(t>s\to+\infty\). Theorem 2: The domain \(D\) has an angular derivative at \(\infty\) if and only if \[\int_S^T\left(\frac{1}{r\eta(r)}-\frac{1}{r\pi}\right)dr\to0\] as \(T>S\to+\infty\).
