This paper deals with a third-order neutral type difference equation of the form \[ \Delta \left( \left( a(t)\left( \Delta ^{2}(x(t)-p(t)x^{\alpha}(t-k)\right) \right) ^{\gamma}\right) +q(t)x^{\beta}(t-m+1)=0. \] Oscillation results are obtained via comparison with first-order equation and second-order inequalities. Moreover, an example is given to illustrate the result.
