Let \(K\) be a compact subset of \(\mathbb C\). Let \(\varphi\) be a positive function defined on \(K\), \(r\) and \(s\) be positive integers with \(\gcd(r, s)=1\), and \( u\) be a real number. Also, let \(a, b\) be positive integers. The present paper deals with intervals of the forms \(\left[\frac r s, u\right]\) and \([0, (\sqrt{a}-\sqrt{b})^2]\). The transfinite diameter \(t(K)\) of \(K\), the integer transfinite diameter \(t_{\mathbb Z}(K)\) of \(K\), and the \(\varphi\)-generalized integer transfinite diameter \(t_{\mathbb Z, \varphi}(K)\) of \(K\), are defined. The author of this paper notes the following: ``Thanks to a lemma of Chudnovsky, we give first a lower bound of the integer transfinite diameter of such intervals. Then, using the method of explicit auxiliary functions and our recursive algorithm, we explain how to get an upper bound for this quantity. We prove inequalities on the integer transfinite diameter of Farey intervals, i.e., intervals of the type \(\left[\frac a q, \frac b s\right]\), where \(|as-bq|=1\)''. In addition, numerical examples are shown. That is, double inequalities for \[t_{\mathbb Z}\left(\left[\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\right]\right), \ t_{\mathbb Z}\left(\left[\frac{7}{5},\sqrt{2}\right]\right),\ t_{\mathbb Z}\left(\left[\frac{27}{10},e\right]\right),\] \[ t_{\mathbb Z}\left([3,\pi]\right), \ t_{\mathbb Z}\left(\left[0,(\sqrt{2}-1)^2\right]\right), \ t_{\mathbb Z}\left(\left[0,(\sqrt{3}-1)^2\right]\right)\] are proved. Brief surveys on the main topic and some related problems are given. The main statements are proved. Techniques used in this research, are explained.
