On implementation aspects of finite element method and its application (Q2326769)

At the beginning, the author presents the weak formulation of three different boundary value problems on two-dimensional domains with mixed boundary conditions. The first problem is the scalar Poisson equation, the second problem is the Stokes problem, and the third problem is the nonlinear incompressible Navier-Stokes problem. After a review of the finite element method in Section 3, the author describes the implementation of each of these problems with the help of finite element library CFEM that is available on the author's website in Sections 4 and 5. In Section 6, numerical examples are given for each of the three problems.
