The critical Ising model on amenable graphs of exponential growth (Q2327746)

Summary: The purpose of this note is to point out that the proof of the recent result of \textit{T. Hutchcroft} [C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 354, No. 9, 944--947 (2016; Zbl 1351.60128)] concerning continuity of the phase transition in Bernoulli percolation is applicable to the setting of the Ising model with free boundary conditions. This observation, together with a recent result of \textit{M. Aizenman} et al. [Commun. Math. Phys. 334, No. 2, 719--742 (2015; Zbl 1315.82004)] implies that the Ising model on any amenable transitive graph with exponential growth undergoes a continuous phase transition.
