This article proves existence and uniqueness of mild solutions to the Keller-Segel-Navier-Stokes system (with quadratic decay term in the first equation) \[ \begin{split} \rho_t + u\cdot \nabla \rho &=\Delta \rho -\nabla\cdot(\rho\nabla c) - \rho ^2\\ c_t + u\cdot\nabla c &= \Delta c - c +\rho\\ u_t + u\cdot\nabla u +\nabla P&=\Delta u-\rho\nabla \phi,\qquad \nabla\cdot u=0, \end{split} \] which is related to broadcast spawning of corals, in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) under a smallness condition on the initial data in Besov spaces, which treats the horizontal and vertical components (\(u_0^h\) and \(u_0^3\), resp.) of the initial fluid velocity differently: With some positive constants \(C_0\) and \(\gamma\), existence and uniqueness of a global solution is shown under the condition that \[ \left(\|u_0^h\|_{B_{p,1}^{-1+\frac3p}} + \|(\rho_0,c_0)\|_{B_{q,1}^{-2+\frac3q}\times B_{q,1}^{\frac3q}}\right)\exp\left(C_0 (1+\|u_0^3\|_{B_{p,1}^{-1+\frac{3}{p}}})^2\right)\le \gamma, \] where \(1 < p < 6\), \(1 < q < \frac32\), \(-\frac13\le \frac1q-\frac1p\le \frac13\), \(\frac1q+\frac1p>\frac13\).
