After stating the theorems of Menalus and Ceva appropriately in projective metric spaces (defined in the manner of \textit{H. Busemann} and \textit{P. J. Kelly} [Projective geometry and projective metrics. New York: Academic Press (1953; Zbl 0052.37305)] and \textit{H. Busemann} [The geometry of geodesics. New York: Academic Press (1955; Zbl 0112.37002)]), the author proves that a projective metric space satisfies Menelaus (or Ceva) if and only if it is either a Minkowski geometry, or the hyperbolic geometry, or the elliptic geometry.
