Inequalities, and especially equality cases, for conformal mappings of the unit disk $D$ into itself are studied. The work is inspired by the inequality of \textit{J. A. Hummel} [J. Anal. Math. 25, 217--257 (1972; Zbl 0273.30011)] who studied relations between the coefficients of disjoint univalent functions defined in $D$ and outside $D$. Applying the Hummel inequality the authors obtain a variant of the Schiffer and Tammi inequality [\textit{M. Schiffer} and \textit{O. Tammi}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 140, 461--474 (1969; Zbl 0183.07701)]. Next the equality case for conformal mappings $f$ of $D$ into itself fixing the origin and satisfying the the inequality of \textit{C. C. Cowen} and \textit{C. Pommerenke} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 26, 271--289 (1982; Zbl 0476.30001)] is studied. The inequality involves the arguments of the points $f(\zeta_{\nu})/(a\zeta_{\nu})$, $\nu = 1,2,\dots,n$ in $\overline{D}$ where $a = f'(0)$. Then a corresponding inequality and its equality case without the restriction $f(0) = 0$ is investigated. In the last section the influence of the fixed boundary points on the behaviour of $f$ is studied, see also [\textit{C. Pommerenke} and \textit{A. Vasil'ev}, Pac. J. Math. 206, No. 2, 425--450 (2002; Zbl 1052.30018)].
