Identification of nonseparated boundary conditions (Q2331392)

The boundary value problem for the differential equation \[ y''+(\lambda p_{10}+p_{11}(x))y'+(\lambda^2 p_{20}+\lambda p_{21}(x)+p_{22}(x))y=0,\; x\in(0,1), \] with nonseparated boundary conditions is considered. The authors study the inverse problem of recovering the coefficients of the boundary conditions from the given eigenvalues, provided that the coefficients of the equation are known a priori. Uniqueness results are obtained for this class of inverse problems.
