On equivalence of third order linear differential operators on two-dimensional manifolds (Q2331524)

This paper studies the equivalence of third order linear differential operators acting in the sections of a given line bundle over an oriented \(2\)-dimensional manifold, with respect to the group of automorphisms of this line bundle. The new idea is to get global equivalence by using some natural coordinates and to use the Wagner and Chern connections instead of the usual Levi-Civita connection. This fact yields two useful tools called Wagner quantization and Chern quantization.
