The authors research the automorphisms of groups forms \(\mathbb{Z}^m\times F_n\), where \(F_n\) is a free group (they call those groups free-abelian times free groups). The classical result by \textit{J. L. Dyer} and \textit{G. P. Scott} [Commun. Algebra 3, 195--201 (1975; Zbl 0304.20029)] about fixed subgroups of finite order automorphisms of \(F_n\) being free factors of \(F_n\) is no longer true in \(\mathbb{Z}^m\times F_n\). The authors prove that if \(G\cong \mathbb{Z}^m\times F_n\) then there are a computable constants \(C_1=C_1(m,n)\) and \(C_2=C_2(m,n)\) such that for every \(\Psi\in\Aut(G)\) of finite order hold \(\operatorname{ord}(\Psi)\leqslant C_1\) and \(\operatorname{r}(\operatorname{Fix }\Psi)\leqslant C_2\). It is proved that there is a computable constant \(C_3=C_3(m,n)\) such that \(\operatorname{Per} \Psi \operatorname{Fix }(\Psi^{C_3})\) for every \(\Psi\in\mathrm{End}(\mathbb{Z}^m\times F_n)\). The authors consider the auto-fixed closure of a finitely generated subgroup and effectively compute a basis for it.
