In previous work, one of the authors introduced \(G\)-(multi)graphs of groups. These graphs have as their vertices the orbits of some elements of a group under its regular action on its own elements, with adjacency if and only if the orbits intersect. In this paper, a connection (via hypergraphs) is shown between each \(G\)-graph of a group and some Cayley graph on the group. The connection is somewhat obscured since the connection set of the Cayley graph is not given explicitly in the paper. They exploit this connection to calculate the spectra of a specific family of Cayley graphs on dicyclic groups. They also present results on the spectra of hypergraphs, and a construction for integral graphs. Sections 1 and 2 of the paper provide an introductory overview to required background material, presented in a way that would make this material easy for a student to read. This includes some basics around groups, graphs, matrices of graphs, eigenvalues of graphs, and \(G\)-graphs. The writing gets more technical (and some details begin to be omitted) after this.
