Let \(L\) be a Lie algebra over a field. Consider its symmetric algebra \(S(L)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty U_n(L)/U_{n-1}(L)\), which is isomorphic to a polynomial ring in a basis of \(L\). It has a structure of a Poisson algebra, where along with the commutative associative product one has a Lie product traditionally denoted by \(\{x,y\}\), which extends the original Lie bracket on elements of \(L\) using Leibnitz rule. Let a field be of characteristic \(p>0\), then this bracket naturally induces the structure of a Poisson algebra on the ring \(s(L)=S(L)/(x^p|x\in L)\), which is call a truncated symmetric Poisson algebra. The conditions under which the truncated symmetric Poisson algebra satisfies a nontrivial Poisson identical relation were determined in [\textit{A. Giambruno} and \textit{V. M. Petrogradsky}, Arch. Math. 87, No. 6, 505--515 (2006; Zbl 1214.17008)]. Necessary and sufficient conditions under which \(S(L)\) or \(s(L)\) are Lie nilpotent, strongly Lie nilpotent, solvable, or strongly solvable were determined in [\textit{I. Z. Monteiro Alves} and \textit{V. Petrogradsky}, J. Algebra 488, 244--281 (2017; Zbl 1427.17033)]. The present paper continues that research. 1) the author disproves the conjecture in the paper above on solvability of (truncated) symmetric Poisson algebras in characteristic 2. 2) The author deals with the derived lengths of \(s(L)\). So, an upper and lower bounds for the strong derived length of \(s(L)\) are obtained. 3) It is established when \(s(L)\) is metabelian, that is, it has derived length 2. 4) For a non-abelian Lie algebra, a lower bound for the derived length of \(s(L)\) is obtained. Finally, necessary and sufficient conditions under which that value is attained are determined.
