Summary: In an article published in 1980, \textit{H. K. Farahat} and \textit{M. H. Peel} [J. Algebra 67, 280--304 (1980; Zbl 0452.20009)] realized the irreducible modular representations of the symmetric group. One year later, \textit{E. Al-Aamily} et al. [J. Algebra 68, 298--305 (1981; Zbl 0463.20009)] constructed the irreducible modular representations for a Weyl group of type \(B_n\). In both cases, combinatorial methods were used. Almost twenty years later, using a geometric construction based on the ideas of \textit{I. G. Macdonald} [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 4, 148--150 (1972; Zbl 0251.20043)], first \textit{J. O. Araujo} and \textit{J. L. Aguado} [Rev. Unión Mat. Argent. 41, No. 2, 39--50 (1998; Zbl 0970.20008)] and then \textit{J. O. Araujo} et al. [Commun. Algebra 38, No. 7, 2464--2479 (2010; Zbl 1201.20006)] also realized the irreducible modular representations for the Weyl groups of types \(A_n\) and \(B_n\). In this paper, we extend the geometric construction based on the ideas of Macdonald [loc. cit.] to realize the irreducible modular representations of the complex reflection group of type \(G(m, 1, n)\).
