Fixed point and acute point theorems for new mappings in a Banach space (Q2337121)

The author of the paper under review introduce a new class of mappings on Banach space, called generalized pseudocontraction. This class of mappings corresponds to the class of generalized hybrid mappings on Hilbert space. He establishes some results on the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for this class of mappings. The author further introduces some extensions of acute points and establishes some acute and skew-acute point results for this class of mappings. The results in this paper complement some results in the literature.
