The author studies the approximate controllability for a fractional hybrid differential system of the form \[({}_{C}D_{0+}^{\alpha }x+A)(t)=g(t,x(t))I_{0+}^{1-\alpha }(f(t,x(t))+Bu(t)),\ 0<t\le b,\quad x(0)={{x}_{0}},\] where \({}_{C}D_{0+}^{\alpha }\) is the Caputo fractional derivative of order \(\alpha \in (0,1)\), \(X\) and \(U\) are two real Hilbert spaces, \(A:D(A)\subseteq X\to X\) is the infinitesimal generator of a resolvent operator \({{S}_{\alpha }}(t)\), \(t\in J=[0,b]\), \(B:U\to X\) is a bounded linear operator, \(u\in {{L}^{2}}(J,U)\) and \(f,g:J\times X\to X\) are given functions. Using resolvent and sectorial operators technique via Dhage's fixed point theorem, the author obtains sufficient conditions for the approximate controllability of the initial problem mentioned above.
