CH, the continuum hypothesis, is one of the many mathematically interesting statements which are independent of the current theory of sets. From the Platonic point of view, there is only one universe of set theory and so CH is either true or false. Here, the author describes the view of Woodin, a leading set theorist, on the continuum hypothesis. From 1999 to 2004 Woodin argued against CH. For these arguments, he used \(\Omega\)-logic. He proposed to look for extensions of ZFC by good axioms, such as projective determinacy, PD. Such axioms imply the negation of CH. From 2004 onwards, Woodin presents a very different argument that CH is true. The author describes this argumentation given by Woodin. It is based on the intensive study of inner models of set theory.
