In order to define the multiplication of distributions, multiplication in the distribution spaces is required to be embedded in a differential algebra. \textit{L. Schwartz} [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris 239, 847--848 (1954; Zbl 0056.10602)] established the impossibility result in order to construct a differential algebra where the distributions can be embedded by invoking a linear operator which extends the distributional derivative and at the same time satisfies the Leibniz rule. This is explained through some restriction for multiplication. Later, \textit{J. F. Colombeau} [Port. Math. 41, 57--69 (1982; Zbl 0599.46056); J. Math. Anal. Appl. 94, 96--115 (1983; Zbl 0519.46045)] imposed certain changes in the restrictions with the pointwise product, to prove the existence of a differential algebra. The present paper is an attempt to show the possibility of avoiding the impossibility result of Schwartz for the construction of the differential algebra. It is proved that a different existence result is possible by weakening the restriction that was suggested by Schwartz and established the possibility to construct a certain differential algebra for ultrafunctions, which are the generalized functions of non-Archimedean fields of non-standard analysis. The references at the end of the paper are very useful for any possibility of extending the present research.
