The book is consist of seven chapters and appendix. The chapters are following: 1. Introduction; 2. Preliminaries; 3. Physical and Mathematical Foundation; 4. Boundary Layer in Poroelasticity; 5. Methods of Fundamental Solutions in Poroelasticity; 6. Numerical Results; 7. Conclusion and Outlook. Appendix is named ``Fundamental Stresses and Fluid Velocities''. In the Introduction given the motivations for investigation of dynamical processes in geothermal reservoirs. In Chapter 2, the author gives a short overview of some basic concepts of functional analysis, especially about linear operators, bilinear forms, and different kinds of functional spaces. In Chapter 3, a short introduction in to poroelasticity from a physical point of view and deduction of the partial differential equations of quasistatic poroelasticity are given. Existence and uniqueness of solutions of partial differential equations of quasistatic poroelasticity are studied in the second section of the chapter. In Chapter 4, the author derives a set of boundary integral equations for quasistatic poroelasticity. Considered the homogeneous quasistatic equations of poroelasticity without a fluid force in dimensionless form \[ -\frac{\lambda+\mu}{\mu} \nabla_x(\nabla_x\cdot u) - \nabla_x^2 u + \alpha v_x p = f, \] \[ \partial_t(C_0 \mu p + \alpha(\nabla_x\cdot u)) - \nabla_x^2 p = h, \eqno (1) \] where \(u\) is a displacement, \(p\) is a pore pressure. Given Green formulas and fundamental solutions for these equations. By combining fundamental solutions and Green's formulas, representation formulas for a solution \((u,p)\) of the equation (1) is obtained. In Chapter 5, method of construction of fundamental solutions in quasistatic poroelasticity is developed. Chapter 6 is devoted to numerical methods for solution of tasks of quasistatic poroelasticity. Considered exemplary problems, like choice of collocation or source points in space and time, underlying structure of matrices to the resulting systems of linear equations and chosen solution methods for them. Considered a parameter study of the method too. In Chapter 7, a short overview of future research perspectives is given.
