This paper studies the effect of the release of sterilizing pathogens in the infected hosts in infectious spreading models. Two types of models are addressed in the paper. The first is a susceptible-infectious model with logistic growth without infection, vertical or horizontal transmission, mortality, etc. The second involves the host reproduction process and sexual disease transmission process mediated by mating. It is found that for the first model, at the endemic equilibrium, the population size can increase with higher levels of sterility. For the second model, it is found that, at the endemic equilibrium, the population size decreases with higher levels of sterility. Other related models and techniques that use sterilizing pathogens are also briefly discussed.
