The authors study the geometry of germs of singular surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) whose parametrisations have an \(\mathcal{A}\)-singularity of \(\mathcal{A}_e\)-codimension \(\leq 3\), via their contact with planes. The paper is organized into three sections dealing with the following topics: the geometry of singular surfaces (the cross-cap, singularities more degenerate than cross-cap), projections of surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^4\) to \(3\)-space (projecting along a nontangential direction, projecting along a tangential direction).
