A family of steady Ricci solitons and Ricci-flat metrics (Q2340907)

Let \(M\) be the product of the 2-Euclidean space with some arbitrary Einstein manifold of positive scalar curvature. Using methods of dynamical systems, the authors produce on \(M\) new examples of non-Kähler complete steady gradient Ricci solitons whose asymptotics combine those of the Bryant solitons and the Hamilton cigar. Moreover, a family of complete non-Kähler Ricci-flat metrics with asymptotically locally conical asymptotics is obtained on \(M\). From this family, new examples of pairs with general dimension \(4m+3\) of Ricci-flat and solitons which are homeomorphic but not diffeomorphic emerge.
