A backward parabolic operator, denoted \(L\), is considered. In a previous article [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 84, No. 4, 471--491 (2005; Zbl 1074.35042)], the authors proved the \(\mathcal{H}\)-uniqueness property for the operator \(L\) when the coefficients are \(C^2\) in the variables \(x\) and the regularity in \(t\) is given in terms of a modulus of continuity \(\mu\) satisfying the Osgood condition. In the present paper this result is improved showing that the \(C^2\) regularity in \(x\) of coefficients, can be replaced by the Lipschitz regularity in \(x\).
