The purpose of this paper is to study convergence of row sequences of a special type of Padé approximants and an extension of the Jentzsch-Szegő theorem [\textit{R. Jentzsch}, Acta Math. 41, 219--251 (1917; JFM 46.0516.03)] to this case. Moreover, the Ostrowski theorem concerning the connection between overconvergence and gaps the power series is addressed for these approximants. The layout of the paper is as follows: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[1:] Introduction \item [2:] Definitions and preliminary results \end{itemize}} \quad - potential theory \quad - convergence in \(\sigma\)-content \quad - multipoint Padé approximants \quad\quad Fix a family of monic polynomials \[ w_n(z)=\prod_{i=1}^k\, (z-\alpha_{k,i}),\quad k\in\mathbf{N}, \] \quad\quad whose zeros are contained in a compact subset \(\Sigma\) of the complex plane. Let \(f\) be a \quad\quad holomorphic function on a neighborhood \(V\) of \(\Sigma\). \quad\quad There exist polynomials \(P_{n,m}\), \(Q_{n,m}\), \(Q_{n,m}\not\equiv 0\), with \[ (Q_{n,m}f-P_{n,m})/w_{n+m+1}\in{\mathcal H}(V), \] where \(H(V)\) is the space of analytic functions on \(V\)-harmonic majorant of a sequence of functions. {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[3:] Jentzsch-Szegő theorem \item [4:] Overconvergence \end{itemize}} References (27 items)
