The author considers special families \(\Omega_n^{\alpha, \beta}\) of subsets of \(\{1, \dots , n\}\), which appear in the theory of multiple series. In particular, the family of ``parallelepipeds'' in \(\{1, \dots , m\}^d\) can be reduced to \(\Omega_n^{\alpha, \beta}\) for an appropriate choice of parameters \(n, \alpha\) and \(\beta\). Then, for a given \(N > n\) and an arbitrary discrete system \(\{\varphi_k\}_{k=1}^n \subset \ell_\infty^N\), the space \(U(\Omega_n^{\alpha, \beta})\) is introduced as \(\mathbb R^n\) equipped with the norm \[ \| \{a_k\}_{k=1}^n \| = \sup_{\omega \in \Omega_n^{\alpha, \beta}}\left\|\sum_{k \in \omega} a_k \varphi_k\right\|. \] The main result of this short communication is an estimate of the type 2 constant of the normed space \(U(\Omega_n^{\alpha, \beta})\). The order of magnitude of this type 2 constant does not exceed \((\log N)^{\alpha/2 + 1 + \varepsilon}\) for any \( \varepsilon > 0\). An application of the main theorem is given.
