The authors prove local in time existence of solutions to the Cauchy problem \[ u_t = \operatorname{div} (u^\alpha| Du|^{m-1} Du)+t^{-\sigma} u^p, \;\;u(x,0)=\mu, \;\;x\in\mathbb R^N,\;t>0, \] where \(\mu\) is a nonnegative Radon measure satisfying \[ [\mu]=\sup_{x_0\in R^N} \sup_{0<\rho<1} \rho^\theta\int_{B_\rho(x_0)}\;d\mu<\infty \] with \(\alpha\), \(m>0\), \(m+\alpha>1\), \(\sigma<1\) and \(p>1\). They generalize previous results in a sense that they give a relation between the exponents and the critical threshold for \(\theta\) satisfied by the measure \(\mu\). The proofs are based on energy estimates and a priori bounds in terms of the initial datum.
