\textit{H. G. Feichtinger} and \textit{K. H. Gröchenig} [J. Funct. Anal. 86, No. 2, 307--340 (1989; Zbl 0691.46011); Monatsh. Math. 108, No. 2--3, 129--148 (1989; Zbl 0713.43004)] defined the mixed, weighted Lebesgue spaces \(L^{p,q}_v\) with respect to the quasi-regular representation of a semi-direct product \(\mathbb{R}^d\rtimes H\) with suitably chosen dilation group \(H\). Also, \textit{H. G. Feichtinger} and \textit{P. Gröbner} [Math. Nachr. 123, 97--120 (1985; Zbl 0586.46030)] introduced the decomposition spaces \(\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{Q},L^p,l^p_u)\). In this paper, the authors have shown that the Fourier transform gives rise to an isomorphism between certain co-orbit spaces \(L^{p,q}_v\) and certain decomposition spaces \(\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{Q},L^p,l^p_u)\). Their study furnishes a pliable tool for examining co-orbit spaces for the generalized wavelets associated to certain dilation groups. In the final section, they have given a discussion on dilation invariance properties of certain co-orbit spaces with the aim to show how the frequency partition determines the approximation-theoretic properties of the wavelet systems using the decomposition space viewpoint.
