In this paper the authors use the following curvature equation, called \textit{Bakry-Emery curvature} denoted by \(\mathrm{Ric}_f\) \[ \mathrm{Ric}_f = \mathrm{Ric} + \mathrm{Hess}(f) \] where \(f\) is a smooth function on a Riemannian manifold \((M, g)\). It is known that, with respect to this function \(f\), \((M, g)\) is a gradient Ricci soliton if \(\mathrm{Ric}_f = \lambda g\) for some constant \(\lambda \in \mathbb R\). Solitons are shrinking, steady or expanding according as \(\lambda > 0\), \(\lambda = 0\) or \(\lambda < 0\), respectively. They prove that a gradient Kähler shrinking Ricci soliton \((M, g)\) is connected at infinity, that is, it has only one end. Also, they have obtained a sharp point-wise lower bound for the weight function of any smooth metric measure space, in term of a lower bound of Bakry-Emery curvature.
